KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely for the next several days. Another First Warn is in place for this afternoon and evening as spotty to scattered rain and storms are possible across the area.

Storm activity is more likely in our northern areas for late this evening and into the overnight. A few strong to severe storms will be possible for our northern border - gusty winds, hail and heavy rain will be possible.

As we get to Friday, we continue a First Warn as scattered rain and storms will be possible once again during the first half of the day. The rest of Friday looks to be mainly quiet with temperatures in the low 70s.

WEEKEND: Saturday seems to be one of the drier days in the forecast, yielding only about a 20% chance for isolated showers. Saturday is trending to also be the coolest day of the next 7 with highs in the mid 60s. However, Sunday, as temperatures begin to rebound from the mid-70s, scattered showers and thunderstorms return around late morning into the day.

MONDAY: As we move into next week, we are increasing the severe weather risk to the metro, I-70, and north. All of your weather hazards are possible at this time, and currently, timing is indicating more of an overnight event, possibly starting as early as 7 p.m. and transitioning into the early morning hours Tuesday. Because of this new information and how it may impact us overnight into Tuesday morning, a FIRST WARN WEATHER DAY has been declared. As we gather new data through the next several days, we will adjust accordingly.
